Clearing weed growth on the canal
his work is done with permission from the Canal & River Trust, which also uses its own contractors to maintain a clear channel on the canal. Without weed cutting and clearance the biodiversity of aquatic plants would decline and the canal would be unusable for boating and angling.
Boat trips during the Platinum Jubilee weekend
Our trip boat New Horizons was running on Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday. Over the three days we carried 183 passengers.
Short trips on the Pocklington Canal
New Horizons runs short trips on Sundays and Bank Holidays starting from noon, so come along for a trip.
